Monarch's website revealed how big Ghidorah's storm is. Can anyone calculate it?

That thing over Korea

it's located above Korea.
The storm is moving at 550 km/h

I think it's better to wait for the movie to come out and get a better idea of how big the storm is.

I watched the movie. They don't state the size. Official data on Monarch is the only way

Isn't the storm implied to have covered the Carribaen or something?

Ghidorah moves at 550 km/h. If we assume the storm moves as fast as him, then it's coming 572 teratons or High 6-B

Gotta make a calc thread first before anything can be applied.

Area of Carribean: 2.754e12 m^2

The cloud was shallow and thicc. So 8000 m and 8000 j/kg.

So CAPE=1.76784768e20 J or 42 gigatons

I agree on waiting for the movie to come out.

Oh yeah, it just did. Forgot it was after midnight. But there should be a calculations blog.

It came out yesterday in my country. I watched it. Great movie. **** RT. The only thing said about the storm was that it's a Category 6 and spans over entire Carribean

Yeah I thought so. Carribean is probably the safest thing to go off of.

If it mimics a IRL hurricane it's probably best to use a scaled up IRL hurricane formula.

It's pretty complicated, but is so to get an accurate result. I'll try and find a simplified one later.

Ghidora generated a hurricane that covered the Carribaen. Iirc it had a wind speed of 550 KPH or something.

Wasn't the combined power of the Kaiju's besides Godzilla and Mothra going to terraform the Earth?

I know no one's really gonna care but I wanted to point out that at one point, the storm covers most if not all of Brazil (when Ghidorah is flying towards Mexico) which should vaguely give it an area of 8,515,767,000,000 square meters. This'd be large island level from what I'm aware.

Though that's pretty much just from him existing, because he never seems to struggle when taking to the air.

Not to mention his speed officially is actually a lowball. His feet of picking up Godzilla results in at least Mach 1.6, up to Mach 11.1 based on various heights, timeframes, etc.
