James Bond vs Sans (Grace)

Now, before you kill me with fire and pitchforks, here me out. First, however, the story.

STORY: James is in the middle of a case. He heads to the bar and orders the usual, a martini shaken not stirred. While he's surveying the scene, he hears a scream outside. Curious and cautious, Bond makes his way outside. He makes his way towards a bar and then the parallel alley way until he finds the source of the commotion, a small skeleton who blasts what appears to be a heart with lasers. Completely stunned, James makes his way to his Vanquish and speeds off. Over the next few days, he observes the skeleton and informs Mi6 about the disturbance who inturn agrees that the skeleton is a more pressing matter then SPECTRE. After a week, James finds the skeleton in the same alleyway, downing a bottle of ketchup. James fires machine gun bullets at him with Sans teleporting away in response.

Sans: "Hey buddy. That wasn't very punny of you"

James: "Yeah? I can same the same about that joke."

Sans: "Oh really? Then lets see who has what it takes"

Now, the rules

James has a week of prep and knowledge of Sans' powers and abilities

James starts in the Vanquish

Speed is Equalised

Takes place in London, 100m away from one another

Otherwise SBA

Yes but here's something to think about

Obviously Sans has the advantage. However, to counter act this I gave James prep and knowledge of Sans powers so he knows all his powers, and a 100m difference which is out of Sans range.

So actually it's a lot closer. With previous knowledge James would likely spam invisibility which Sans has no counter for

His vehicle has invisibility then? I think the moment he sees the missiles he can make a pretty good guess at where they're coming from. Clairvoyance also helps but I dunno if that's applicable because I dunno where he gets that from.

Also intangible attacks help so much in this case, if you ask me, because he can just phase them through missiles, so as soon as he sees a source of missiles he danmakus in that general direction.

True, however James can move while firing missiles and would know to do so when acquiring prior knowledge. Plus Sans' attacks don't have 100m range which James would know. Basically James can start firing missiles at a distance and wait for Sans to tire out. Vanquish has a large fuel source so it's gonna take a longer time for the car to lose gas then Sans gets tired

That's Bond wincon. Not saying is 100% gonna happen but I'm saying it just so the good people of VSBW know

It's not as clear cut as it seems at first glance.

He's out of Sans range, invisible and can attack while invisible and moving etc

Just as smarter a combatant

Vanquish won't lose fuel faster than Sans gets tired etc

I...don't see that happening personally. Teleportation is a thing. Sans sees the missiles coming from a specific area of the city, his intelligence can help him reduce where it's coming from, James isn't going to immediately know where Sans is if he's teleporting around, which he is going to to get to James's position, and then bada bing bada boom suddenly either James's car is getting speared with bones, he's getting smacked around the inside of his car, which should definitely kill him, or he's getting blastered. Just because he's invisible doesn't mean Sans wouldn't be able to find him.

Yeah @Jack I'm not saying Bond wins this one hahaha

I'm just suggesting why it's fair. However, I do have counterpoints to that. Firstly, Sans teleportation is widely unknown and may also not have a 100m range. Secondly, James knows Sans has to get closer, so if anything James can predict where Sans can teleport and blast him etc. Thirdly, Sans attacks are dodgeable so even if Sans can predict where Bond will be, he can avoid it wiht the car and travel another 100m if he so needs. I think this is rather close

I don't think it's as close as you think it is but whatever. Bond can't tell where Sans is going to be through the entirety of a city. I don't even think he'd know Sans's exact location at the start of the fight, let alone where he's teleporting too, so I don't think that's a good point.

Even though Sans has unknown range on his teleportation, he can do it multiple times, which is what he would probably do if he sees these attacks coming for him.

Sans's attacks may be avoidable, but it's difficult, and absolute Danmaku. Blasters can come up out of nowhere and bones just appear in the ground. It's not something that can easily be done, and Sans has a big target to hit. Frisk is also skilled at dodging at this point but Sans can still hit them. Push comes to shove he'll just do what he does to Frisk before his "sleep attack" and just slam Bond, a 9-B, around in his car until he drops dead.

This is assuming however that once Sans leaves Bond's sight that James will be a sitting duck. Remember, James has full knowledge on Sans. Once he sees him teleport, he won't just sit there like a martini hpwaiting to be drunk. James is more experienced and just as smart as Sans. 100m start means James will fire rockets which Sans dodges. Bond sees the dodge and goes invisible and drives away back to 100m. I just don't think James is dumb enough to try and attack Sans in his range when he has prior knowledge. Plus if Sans loses track of Bond once in the city, he also will have very little knowledge on where James is. I think Sans does win because eventually James is gonna slip ip and get in his range and Sans would obviously hold his soul still and kill him. However, given James' own intelligence and 100m start, I doubt he'll actively attack Sans in this range with prior knowledge and we've seen teleportation can help wear Sans out. This is actually close

Plus yeah he does know Sans exact location at the start of the fight because it's following the story. They're not looking at each other at 100m away

Still up for debate in that, but I am going to say that I'm voting for Sans due to his teleportation and it being much more likely for him to get in James's range before he can actually deliver a killing blow. Not only that but Sans just has way more ways to kill James once he gets into even the outskirts of his range.

I remember wondering what James gets in a martini. You know, the one he orders all the time

It's literally 97 PERCENT ALCOHOL
