You thought this was another match with this Nightmare, didn't you?

The distinction between good and evil is often one that is difficult to determine. And upon encountering something that appears evil, one must sometimes use their own judgement in order to determine whether your fear of something is justified. And in today's match, we have a character that appeared at first to be an evil creature, only to show that with care it can even be considered a hero, and a character that, no matter how you look at it, is completely and utterly evil. But will true evil reign supreme, or will the purehearted monster overcome challenge set before it? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Trico from The Last Guardian, and in the red corner, we have The Nightmare from 123 Slaughter Me Street.

Trico

-This is a fight to the death or incapacitation. No holds barred.
-Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.

-Neither character are allowed any outside help, meaning the Boy will not be a factor here.

-This fight takes place at the very top of the Valley, giving Trico the home-court advantage.

-This fight involves The Nightmare itself.

-Speed will not be equalized here.

With all this being said, let the debate begin!

Cat-Dog-Bird: 0

Puppet from Hell: 7 (Crimson Azoth, HeadlessKramerGeoff777, Jackythejack, Christian Higdon, Necromercer, Zark2099, Dargoo Faust)

Inconclusive: 0

Duplication, summoning, insanity manipulation...all seem like a big problem for Trico

Yikes. Anyways, I'll wait on this one.

Makes me wanna use this Nightmare in a fight.

Considering the Small Nightmares are 9-C, one lightning blast or even a quick paw strike will likely take care of them.

Though, the Madness Manipulation could be a problem. I'm waiting for Kramer to comment on that.

I...suppose so? Though, The Nightmare will likely be taking a lightning bolt to the face at the same time it's getting blinded, so that seems to be a non-factor mostly.

Okie dokie. So, TN just sets Trico on fire, distracts it with little nightmares, drives it insane so it can't stratigies, and TN is possibly more durable. Real issue for TN is that it's only 9-A attack is fire, but since it is the main move of Nightmare, it likely will not be a problem. Also, Nightmare seems to be MUCH smaller than Trico, which might be veiw at a disadvantage at first, but imo it will allow TN to be harder to hit. How powerful is Trico's lightning?

I'd need to look over footage from the game again, but I'm pretty sure Trico's lightning broke a solid rock wall apart.

How fast could the Nightmare potentially drive someone insane? Also, does it just make fire...appear wherever it wants?

Oh okie.

It is an unknown timeframe but seems to be under a few minutes iirc. It is shown at the begining of 123sms2, when it drives Tim insane which causes him to lash out and kill his daughter.

As for fire, yeah just out of no where.

Trico's lightning isn't that powerful, only shattering small wooden walls. Most rock structures in game are completely immune to it's lightning. Also it requires the Boy and his shield to fire, and said BOI would be driven insane pretty damn fast.

Trico will likely be restricted to H2H for this fight

Also fyi, Trico a small bit resists mindhax near the end of the game. Spontaneous fire still looks like a problem tho

Oh, wow. So, is setting things on fire the first thing he does? Because Trico will then go absolutely wild and just pounce directly at him through its sheer agony alone. Lightning usually only happens if it has a second to charge up and fire with its tail.

And even if it is smaller, it's still has Type 0 Large Size, so it's easily big enough for Trico to lock onto and attack.

Is can't be that much smaller. Trico is also Type 0, and it has experiance fighting smaller enemies

That, and the huge brawl at the end of the game where Trico fought a whole fleet of Tricos. And managed to hold his ground there.

So obviously Trico has the exp advantage

Sorry, didn't see that mate!

Fear and madness hax is a subcategory of mindhax, but to be honest, Trico more looked like he was resisting straight up mind control. So I don't think it is comparable, no.

Btw I'm voting Nightmare medium diff. If Trico gets hold of him, it's trouble time, but Noightmare can easily play keep-away with fire and slowly drive Trico insane.

He wasn't really holding his ground, he was kinda getting screwed right over. Remember, he got practically stomped by one Armoured Trico, a whole flock of them could just toy with him

Ah, right. He only manage to beat the one because the Smol Boi dropped a big rock on its head.

Still, it did manage to last long enough for The Boy to destroy the power source of the Valley, so that's something.

But, again, The Nightmare should be within pouncing range if SBA is correct here, and Trico has a sizeable speed advantage as well. (Superhuman > Peak Human) Still, gonna add the votes here.

While I would love my favorite turkey bird to win, I just don't think he will. He's gonna lose his lightning right off the bat, and be taking 9-A damage each second of the fight if the Nightmare is spamming dat fire.

Basically, Nightmare burns him in hellfire! Hellfire!
