Doctor Manhattan vs. Darkseid

If you're refering to Darkseid's reality warping, it won't effect Doctor Manhattan because it only effects Darkseid's reality. Doctor Manhattan exists in all realities simultaneously.
 
Doesn't exist Darkseid on a higher plane than Mr. Mxyzptlk? Although Dr. Manhattan is more powerful than Mxyzptlk, to my knowledge there is nothing to indicate that Dr. Manhattan is superior to him in the same way that Darkseid is, so Darkseid exists in a higher plane than Dr. Manhattan, too, I think
 
Mxyzptlk is 5th dimensional, which would make Darkseid 6th dimensional, but Doctor Manhattan exists in all planes and time exists in all forms, past, present and future, and he can percieve all realities.
 
In its profile it only says that it exists in all the universes, which could only refer to the Orrery of Worlds. Where does it say all planes?
 
It's Wally who says it, right? Couldn't it be that he said that because he was scared or something? I don't know, there's the possibility that he doesn't't have a true understanding of Darkseid's power and he was wrong to say that. Of course, it's possible that he's right, but he's not the best source on 5-D+ beings I think.

Anyway, if what he says is true, then I think this is inconclussive, because Manhattan doesn't have concept manipulation to make real damage to Darkseid, thanks to his type 1 abstract existence.
 
there was the implication in doosmday clock issue 9 where drmanhattan was stronger than darkseid and anti moniter

huh? no darkseids reality warping would also work and did work on the ordery of the worlds, also since the anti life equation has reality warping why would it only work in the god sphere.

His words were along the lines of being out of time feeling his presence being greater than darkseids

reffering to manhattan... A scan of the quote is in this vid I'll time stamp for you but basically yea he was in the place Manhattan and Darkseid (TF) reside...


But even then this is Manhattan being compared to Darkseid TF so Darkseids avatars are literally infinitesimal compared to either so Manhattan would still take it

Thank you for showing me @Grimreaperofjustice Seeing that, Flash statements becomes more reliable. Anyway, unless new comics show other Dr. Manhattan powers, I still vote for inconclusive due my reasons above.

Doctor Manhattan has been forcefully established to be DC's version of The Living Tribunal. No version of Darkseid unless maybe the Soulfire version comes anywhere close to being a trheat to him. Especielly since the New Gods were actually affected by the Post-Flashpoint retcon which Manhattan caused.

No. Both are stated to be 5th dimensional realms. The Imps clearly being in a higher plane of reality altogether given that casual no name residents of that dimension are all reality warping beings who transcend time and space. Mxy is arguably higher up the ladder than True Form Darkseid since his power could destroy the entire multiverse in one fell swoop while Darkseid's was more of a snowball affect casuality caused by his fall from heaven creating a metaphysical singularity that gradually sucked the entire multiverse to his epicenter.
 
I'm not against the fact of Manhattan being more powerful than Darkseid, but how does he hurt him without conceptual manipulation? Darkseid has abstract existence type 1, and about that type the wiki says: "Type 1: Exists purely as an abstraction. These characters lack a true physical form, and affecting them requires the ability to affect directly the abstraction itself, because eventual physical manifestations are merely avatars." Having said that, unless Doctor Manhattan can affect the concept of tyranny, the concept that Darkseid is, he really can't do anything to him. Or am I wrong?
 
I'm assuming he has what it says it can do on the page

i.e.

  • Completely or partially erase things from existence
  • Give themselves or others new powers
  • Reverse constants, like falling equals going up or doctor means warrior
