Both of these two have had it rough in their last few matches. I actually feel bad for them at this point.

So, let's have the two of them kill each other! One finally gets a win, the other gets put out of their misery. Sounds fair to me.

Rules

  • Random encounter.
  • Speed equalized.
  • In-character.
  • Battle takes place in the middle of an unnamed town.
  • Winner by death or incapacitation.
  • Votes with one-dimensional reasoning (such as 'Harry via hax' or 'Carrie via higher AP') will not be counted.

Harry one-shoots with the Avada Kedavra curse, with Carrie not being able to react since even expert wizards have trouble with this spell.

Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, Harry doesn't use that in-character. In fact, I don't even know why it's on his profile, since he never used it at any point in the series. (Not even the novels)

He used the other two Unforgivable Curses, but he never used the Killing Curse on anyone.

EDIT: Just remembered that it's not on his profile, likely for the reasons I just outlined.

Ahh... sorry, I didn't realise it was In-Character... well, he could also use Petrificus Totalus, which instantly paralises the opponent. This is also a very fast spell, since it is useful even against Death Eaters.

That could potentially work, but he does need to hit with it. The source material portrays it as a projectile (for some reason...), so it's not like he can just fire-and-forget.

Although, in fairness, Carrie's TK probably doesn't work for blocking magic. For obvious reasons, we never saw her fighting any magicians in her novel.

In any case, I suppose I'll count your vote for now.

I need a more elaborate reason than that. That's like someone coming in and saying 'Carrie via telekinesis'. (Sure, that's something she can use to win, but that isn't enough to go by)

He also doesn't actually use transfiguration in fights, so there's that as well.

Now this is an interesting match. And now there are several reasons why I think Harry would likely win. First off, Aguamenti can deal with Carrie's Pyrokinesis, and Incendio can deal with her Ice Manipulation. (Don't know why Incendio isn't in his list of spells when many of the Harry Potter games have him use it. Might bring this up later in the Content Revision board.)

The real problem is Carrie's Telekinesis, but due to the variety of spells that Harry has to stop her, I think he has a pretty good chance. From his more tame spells like Stupefy, Rictusempra or Imperio, to some of his more sinister spells like Crucio, Reducto or Sectumsempra. Plus, with Protego Totalum, he may be able to block any debris Carrie might toss at him. So, overall, due to his wide variety of magic, I think Harry has enough to counter Carrie's Telekinesis, and then some!

Winner: Harry Potter

I'm pretty sure Protego Totalum requires preparations, unless I'm mixing it up with something else.

Regardless, votes updated.

I'd say Hairy. He's less insane and possibly smarter. Also he has spells that are way to strong for Carrie's durability.

Harry likely takes this via Petrificus Totalus, Stupefy, Sectum Sempra, and a bunch of other spells to at the very least incapacitate Carrie, on top of having a lot more control over his powers as well as more combat experience than Carrie.

4 since Yobo's reasoning is a bit vague. Not to mention I don't recall Harry being able to use transmutation on the level of a human being iirc. Idk, I need to reread the books.

Nobody mentioned that Carrie's TK has been shown to target internal organs and has easily enough power to crush his brain out through his nose. It also fails to mention that in character Harry will likely go for a disable first, and if he uses one that only restricts physical movement (e.g. Petrificus Totalus) then she can still use her TK. With speed equalized he shouldn't even finish casting his first spell before she breaks his neck (TK hits instantly she uses it, has practically no cast time, she NEVER misses, and he doesn't have any warning. Opposite situation for Harry's Haxes). Or she takes his wand away. Or breaks his arm. Or all three, since she's able to TK at least 5 different things at once in the book...

This is a debunk that deserves to be addressed.

That's all I'm going to say.

This match needs to be removed Carrie literally just causes Harry to have a heart attack like she did with her mother.
