You are an ordinary person, or at the very least, an above average but otherwise ordinary person with no powers or supernatural qualities in the real world. But one day, you and the other PCs are teleported into a secret, magically veiled island by some kind of spirit, or god, or someone you don't understand, who gives you a power of your choosing.
This spirit, or whomever explains, in an exposition dump, that he/she/it is trying to give you a fighting chance against something hunting you down. If they manage to get you, you will suffer an unimaginably gruesome fate, far worse than death. Before they can explain further, they are interrupted, are terrified of something, and disappear, leaving you all alone on the island with your new powers, and many unanswered questions. I'm looking for a maximum of maybe nine players.
1. You can have a staff from Lord of the Rings, representing a Wizard's magic.
2. You can have a lightsaber, either blue or red, for Jedi or Sith.
3. You can have a throne, representing a sorcerer's power from Mortal Kombat. (Along with their martial arts.) (You basically only have to sit in it once, no need to take it with you.)
4. You can have a costume tailor made from your own imagination, representing some kind of Mutant super power, from the X-Gene. While you're technically at least an Omega level Mutant, all characters are equal at the start, and have to earn more power later.
5. You can choose something else, resembling something I haven't thought of/don't know about. If you do that I am going to need a wiki link.
Everyone's power level begins at aboutMCU level, maybe one of the heavy hitter's power level as of MCU's Endgame/Infinity Wars. I'm gonna say at this point, since those movies came out many years ago by now (Wow, I'm getting old.), that means you can be at least mountain level threats but aren't tectonic level yet.
This game will have a discussion area in my Discord, but Discord is not needed to role play in it, so I will not post my Discord yet.
