So, for Herah, she normally starts her battles by taking in her opponent's scent and determining their strength through that. Seeing as she only seems to detect things tied to one's physical condition Herah would view Ange as no threat at all and from there would just try and poke her in the back of the neck.

Since Endless Nine stops that, she would then try to melt her with flames. Endless Nine stops that too.
Herah would then go for a swipe with Jeffery's eraser which wouldn't be stopped.

That's pretty much how the intial exchange would go.
What Ange do throughout all of this?

She'll likely either start with summoning the Purgatory Sisters or, if she's not in the mood for this (lol), just jump directly into Truths (something like: "There's no such character on the Gameboard, so you don't exist!")

Herah should be able to come back from a truth that erases her with the assistance of Jeffery, and the summoning of more fighters would make her attempt to nuke the battlefield.

Yes, that's the same case as what we discussed with Herah vs Theory Goats.

So, in that case, how is a piece being placed back on the board treated in battles?

Basically, the opponent needs to be able to have the range and power to kill Meta Ange to win this.

It doesn't look like Herah or Jeffery could really kill Meta Ange, though they would be able to stop her from replacing Piece Ange to rejoin the fight.
