In VSBW, we have the Intelligence tier system, to rate the characters' intelligence.
But it isn't really a major topic in here and there is alot wrong with it too.
First of all, I totally understand the giving a character 'Genius' due to him being able master some crazy powers that no one else could.
But imo, shouldn't intelligence be a broader subject? The current tiering system supports superscience at a Universal level as the highest possible non-omniscienct feat.
There is a popular scaling method called 'stop scaling' popular among WIS(YT,Tiktok,Instagram) scalers, yeah those Strength,Speed,Durability.... editors for intelligence scaling
While as always the takes are horrible, the judging methods are actually good.
It is purely feats based and characters with illogical feats as in those with no explanation, poor writing etc(such as a characterX defeated a Chessbot in 2 moves) aren't considered.
And the scaling is irrespective of the setting ie, superscience with poor writings wouldn't be considered.
There categories are mainly FSIQ,FSEQ,FSSQ(usually compared with their subcategories like WMI,PSI) Planning&Strategy and someother categories
While it is used to comoare characters and the takes are bs, the method seems better than VSB's current scale where unrealistic superscience prevails all despite how poorly and illogically its written.
What are your thoughts on this? Will there be any problem or limitations to this scale?
Or is there any logic as to why superscience already gives you higher level than someone with explained and detailed feats of intelligence?
