What's the difference between Matter Manipulation and Transmutation ?

Matter Manipulation is about manipulating the particles that make up matter while Transmutation is about manipulating the properties of matter. Furthermore, Transmutation is not limited to just matter, but also objects and such.

So properties can't be changed with just normal Manipulation ?
Doesn't matter also encompass objects(like say, a table) ?

Based on my understanding;
Matter Manipulation involves controlling the physical makeup of objects, such as removing a specific number of atoms or disrupting molecular bonds. In contrast, Transmutation refers to altering the form or nature of something into something else, such as turning a person into stone or a mountain into ice cream. While Matter Manipulation can replicate Transmutation, not all instances of Transmutation necessarily involve direct manipulation of matter. Some are done through magic and have no logic or reason behind them.

Uh I'll go a little deeper then. Matter Manipulation is about manipulating what make up matter such as atoms for example to modify their structure in itself. Transmutation is about manipulating the properties of energy, matter and objects to change them into something else. Usually, the structure of the object itself is not changed but it can be strengthened. For example, taking a block of iron and transforming it into a sword is done just by changing the shape and not the structure, which is Transmutation. Majin Buu also who can transform humans and chocalats, without modifying their internal structure.
