What level of destruction does Fire fall under!

I know this is a little bit abstract or vague, but i was wondering, what level of destruction or value would fire burning fall under? I would assume pulverization “overtime” with say wood as it reduces it to ash/dust. But i am certain i maybe missing out key information here which i would like to be enlightened on.

It mostly depends on how strong the fire is, fire related calcs use melting because of temperature exchange
