Only vampires can travel between worlds across borders. If a human crosses the border, they cannot return to any world, unless a vampire takes their hand. So, what is this ability?

Seems sort of like limited sealing, but question: is it the actual border itself that disallows them from leaving, or is it that they simply lack the ability to? Because if it is the latter, then it might be something like dimensional travel for vampires.

Regarding this, if humans entered they would be stuck without a vampire holding their hand. So I guess borders are what keep human back.

No; it seems like the barrier just doesn't affect them, rather than that it does, but they resist the effects.
