What is probably a stupid question

I was having a conversation about a particular character who is a ghost (Specifically a Composite Ghost for Goosebumps). And said person stated that said character cannot regenerate spiritual damage even though it is nothing BUT a spirit, and in the source material (Ghost Camp) we see one of the ghost used in the Composite blog regenerate from having his head removed and in another piece of source material a specific ghost is comparable to other characters who regenerated from being blown up into a puddle.


Question: A regenerative ghost unable to regenerate from spiritual damage even though it is nothing but a spirit and has clearly shown so across the series. How much sense does this make?

I dont know about verses but if ghosts are shown to regenerate from head damage or being blown to puddle it will regenerate from spiritual attack
