You need to be more specific, you mean something like cutting a fireball? Because that's nothing. You mean something like cutting a spell brainwashing someone? Because that could be power nullification. Or something different to the two previous things? You need to specify for an answer.

They attack the character with a magic beam and the character splits this beam in half.

It may be a specific application of NPI, granted magic is some kind of insustantial form of energy. More context may be required.

Since it's a beam (which I would suppose it's composed of magical energy or similar) then it could be argued to be non-physical interaction (to energy).
