I'm leaning towards piccolo via skill and outlasting him since I'm pretty sure Piccolo has skill that matches goku and far more experience still. I don't think he'll special beam cannon and kill trunks, but hellzone grenade and light grenade might help. Trunks RPL might allow him to overpower piccolo, but I don't think it'll be enough to take him out. Also, since this is Trunks before the Time chamber training but after three years, SSJ would still drain energy and Piccolo deduced this quickly with Vegeta vs 18.

Yeah I agree FRA, Piccolo is far more skilled and have better stamina than Trunks, and Trunks ain't a "haxey" guy so he has really no way around that

One argument in favor of Trunks is that he doesn't mess around. Trunks wouldn't boast about his power and wouldn't try to humiliate Piccolo, and due to SBA he's gonna see Piccolo as a threat. Piccolo in the Android Saga is a lot weaker than any of the Super Saiyans, as while he trained with Goku, he never caught up to him, and when Vegeta lost to 18, Piccolo was using Vegeta and Trunks' SSJ as a power above him, saying that even they couldn't match up to the Androids

I'm voting Trunks as he doesn't mess around, is stronger and faster than Piccolo, and since he knows about the special beam cannon he wouldn't let him use it. Piccolo can regenerate yes, but it takes stamina from him which will make Trunks' job easier

Trunks is already stronger than Piccolo. And he wouldn't let the battle continue for long unlike Vegeta VS 18

Piccolo is weaker than the SSJs but not by a large margin. Also, this is Trunks before training in the time chamber so he hasn't mastered SSJ yet.

I'm voting Trunks as he doesn't mess around, is stronger and faster than Piccolo, and since he knows about the special beam cannon he wouldn't let him use it.

Trunks doesn't know about the special beam cannon? And he certainly doesn't know of the hellzone grenade.
