Information type 2 to magic.
Magic is a fundamental aspect of Magus because magic is what makes Magus exist in the world. Magic operates through three key reasoning processes:
Comprehension: Involves understanding the fundamental properties ,principles and structure of magic itself. This means gathering detailed information and data about the magic.
Deconstruction:Involves breaking down magic's fundamental structure by analyzing its nature into fundamental components, akin to processing and analyzing detailed structural data to understand its basic building blocks.
Reconstruction: Involves reassembling the fundamental components of magic into new forms. This stage is akin to using the processed and analyzed data and information to create new structures. Notably, the comprehension and deconstruction stages are essential prerequisites, providing the necessary magical information needed for reconstruction.
Even the ultimate truth path of one's magic , which are eternal magical truths that exist as information in the root of all worlds and all dimensions. Magic also includes grimoires ,which are said to be pure magical beings containing fundamental information about worlds, information that can change the world itself. So magic is information since when one is processing magic, they are processing information. One needs information and detailed structural data of magic itself, etc., to be able to use magic.
More about magic is fundamental nature to their being: Since magic power is described as maintaining a person's existence, it also implies that it sustains their identity, presence, and actions within the world. Without this power, their very essence would cease to exist. This is further supported by how Anna was going to disappear completely, along with all of her memories and entire presence in the world along with her soul , as if she never existed, should she have used up all of her magic power supplied by her spirits. Later, Arata eventually needed to pour most of his magic power in order to sustain her existence and presence in the world. This shows that all the information validating her existence would simply disappear along with her, more information type 2.
The same goes for memories in maintaining their individual existence in the world. When all their memories disappear from the world, their very existence would also disappear altogether by default. another example, when Liese's memories disappeared from the world, her entire existence disappeared as well. Memories are calculated as information and are also referred to as data, as shown when Liese called Hijiri memories about the Goddess of Deep Darkness as data. This was further proven when Liese was transferring Aries's memories to Lilith, and the memories were called data. Thus, memories are interchangeable with data and information and are fundamental to one's existence.
Memories are intertwined with magic and souls, as shown with Anna above . When she used up her magic, her soul and memories would disappear by default. To further support this, when Aries fully recovered her memories about Liese and was going to return them to her, it was said that she returned her magic. Soul, magic, and essence are also used interchangeably. Magic is called the root of one's existence. Soul, memories, and mind are used interchangeably and are already accepted here, but I will add it:
When Arata's sealed consciousness and memories return to his physical body, it is said that it is actually his soul that comes back. Additionally, when Pholus attempts to erase Aries's memories, it is mentioned that her mind and soul are on the verge of disappearing from reality. Moreover, when Lilith was looking for which body of Pholus had Aries's soul, she later called it consciousness. A soul has one's biometric information as well.

Adding more about magic: When Lilith transferred her magic to give Liese a boost, it was said she transferred data and knowledge, similar to what Arata did during the three processes to be able to use Liese's magic. with that, magic is structured as information and data, which can change all laws of the world, including the law of causality, change the world itself, and alter reality and the narrative itself etc
You can already see that the three processes needed to use magic involve information manipulation, but they also have a statement that says they manipulate magic.
Resistance to Information Type 2: Since those who have magic power have resistance to magic.
Demon lords and candidates should gain resistance to the Breakdown Phenomenon, which even affected high-level magus who had high level magic resistance. However, it didn't affect Arata due to being a demon lord.
