He could just... not get hit by it. Stickman Hero has Analytical Prediction, Flight (although, Sam could still get up close with this considering the Winds of Destruction who should be inferior to him can leap absurd heights), Forcefields, and Light Manipulation to stun Sam. Also the majority of Stickman Hero's attacks are ranged.
