I've heard we can still have upgrade threads for a few days before the transfer, but if that isn't true then sorry in advance. Currently Terraria is rated across the board at class 5 lifting strength despite us currently using a calc that already gives the first boss in the game much higher lifting strength (the King Slime's ap calc puts his weight well above class 5 and that weight is still accepted). However there was another thing that has always bothered me. The Destroyer, a 500 foot long metal robot, only having class 5 lifting strength despite lifting itself all the time, so I finally decided to calculate the destroyer and got the feat evaluated. https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:Keeweed/Terraria_Bosses_are_heavy
Here's the calc with King Slime's weight: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/U...Terraria:_King_Slime_speed_and_Kinetic_Energy
Both calculations got class K results.
This should scale to the Terrarian because he can prevent the Destroyer and King Slime from throwing him around with most shield and any grappling hook. The shields that can't prevent knockback all have reasons as to why they wouldn't be able too. The Shield of Cthulhu is the mouth of the EoC and isn't an actual shield. The buckler is the size of the Terrarian's hand, and the squire's shield doesn't offer any defense and increases the player's summoning capabilities meaning it most likely is a prop shield.
Now some people may think the shield are magic and that's why they prevent knockback. But shields made of completely different materials, with different properties all together prevent knockback (the Paladin shield and Cobalt), and Cobalt armor doesn't prevent knockback while the shield does. Plus the Terrarian can also prevent bosses from throwing him around via holding himself steady with a grappling hook. The Terrarian can even throw around one of the bosses (though if I should calc the Brain of Cthulhu's weight and we just scale the Terrarian off that then I'll do that).
If these feats don't scale to the Terrarian this would still scale to:
King Slime: Lower end of class K
Mechanical Boss: They would all scale to the Destroyer
The Moonlord: He's superior to all the other bosses.
However if this does scale to the Terrarian all pre Hardmode bosses would scale to the King Slime (Minus the Brain of Cthulhu because the Terrarian throws him around with little issue). All the bosses can throw the Terrarian around if he doesn't have a shield or grappling hook to block their attacks or hold himself down (once again minus the Brain because it does little to no knockback).
The Wall of Flesh would probably be in between King Slime and the Destroyer since he is vastly above the King Slime but nothing compared to the Destroyer.
And all Hardmode boss would scale to the Destroyer.
Finally I don't think the Terrarian should have possibly Class Z lifting strength in his last key because it comes from the Lunar hooks tooltip: "You want the moon? Just grapple it and pull it down!"
This seems like a super obvious hyperbole.
Granted the lunar hook is made from the power of the celestial towers and the Monolith's made from the same thing can pull the moon down with "a small amount of power from the [celestial] Towers". The monoliths are shown to be able to do this. However the hook just has a vague statement of being able to pull the moon down and doesn't show it like the monoliths. Plus that seems to scale to the Lunar hook, not the Terrarian themselves. The Terrarian should scale to the first hook in the game since it's just a metal hook attached to a chain but Lunar Hook is shown to be mechanical in nature and is powered by the fragments of the celestial pillars. Granted the Terrarian may have class Z lifting with the Lunar hook but I don't think it should scale to him physically.
Instead of possibly Class Z I think the Terrarian around the time of the Moonlord should be Possibly Class M due to vastly upscaling to the Destroyer.
