Gouketsu's only real advantages here are probably his size and stamina. While Bang could be argued to be a bit weaker, he took attacks from Elder Centipede and stopped his charge with Bomb's help who is comparable to Gouketsu. WSRSF reflects all of Gouketsu's attacks assuming Bang doesn't get caught off guard, but if push comes to shove Abandonment gives Bang a significant speed and AP amp. He's also likely faster to begin with; Gouketsu can be scaled to blitzing the likes of G4 Genos, Suiryu and Bakuzan (superior to Iaian), Bang reacted to Boros' artillery, is somewhat comparable to Atomic Samurai, superior to Darkshine, and can blitz monster association cadres when he uses abandonment.
