Dude, Afton was weaker than the animatronics. He only destroyed them because he caught them off guard. So him combining with one would only make him stronger. Especially because now he has immortality and higher durability.

Springtrap doesn't backscale from Purple Guy too much and I'm pretty sure it was said that "crushing a head was stronger then ripping one off", and Springtrap's illusions could do a thing
