Anyways, Sonic is kind of a one-trick pony with his fighting style and equalized speed takes away the only real advatage he has over her as she is used to fighting people who are well above her paygrade AP-wise and she's trained and sparred with Amethyst who actually uses a lot of the same attacks as Sonic

As for the Rings, thats not something that Sonic has ever shown willingness to lead with, the only time he ever use Rings to BFR someone was Eggman after a long and drawn out fight and he only did so as a last ditch effort to get rid of him

Yeah Connie should take this handily, the only real advantages Sonic has is a 1.8x AP advantage which Connie can pretty reasonably match with her sword's cutting power and BFR that he doesnt lead with in-character, whereas Connie has the skill and experience having fought opponents who both have a significant power advantage over her and even use the same moves as Sonic that would let her beat Sonic out pretty quickly before he thinks to use his rings to BFR her

Yeah, my vote goes to Connie for now, the BFR is a really bad argument, as Sonic almost never used it in character and the fact that Connie combat skill is WAY SUPERIOR, due being trained by literally gems with thousand years of combat and war experience
