For fun match, not to be added to the profiles. Sonic and Mario team up to defeat Bowser and Eggman.
I know there's the argument that Sonic characters AP stomp Mario characters, and if that's the case then assume AP is relatively equalized. Sonic characters will be a bit stronger, but not to the point of an AP stomp.
Sonic and Mario are in their 2-B forms (Pure Hearts Mario and Super Sonic, no Hyper Sonic for this fight however), so are Bowser and Eggman. All of them have prior knowledge on their opponents, and Bowser and Eggman both have three days of prep to work together and figure out a plan to take out the two heroes. Sonic and Mario have no prep other than their 2-B forms and all optional equipment though.
Bowser has access to the Dream Stone too, Eggman's machines are all up for use. The two villains will not betray or double-cross each other.
Speed is equalized.
