Should we remove versus threads from the character profile pages?

i have my opinion on it in the blog post where i think we should remove it and just start it up in our own vs forum with characters that have similar rankings and no spite threads

OFF Topic: i am going to be gone for a little while, that is also the reason my contributions went down a little bit

Reply in the blog post thread thank you.

Yeah, IMO we should remove most irrevelant matchups and only put a few notable VS Matches (good match-ups), and not so much. If the characters involved get new feats, debunked feats or have feats in doubt, then it should be like "(Outdated)", or some explanation like "Character A is the strongest version, or common version" (for DC/Marvel matchups), "Speed-Equalized" (maybe for HST matchups), or something like that.

Well, the problem is that we would have to check through every single Vs thread that way, which is an awful lot of work, and although a large part of them are extremely lacklustre i.m.h.o., including most of the ones that Newraptor has flooded this site with recently, it is still a subjective matter. I rather liked the suggestion thst we should only accept threads from our own Vs forum, as it would make us more independent.

I do not mean in a strictful manner. If we already have the matchup then we could put our own. But we don't necessarily need to create our own matchup threads for all pages. Most popular pages are already locked, so the VS info would be correct since it will be inserted by approved editors. Also you can just remove, update or change the matchup link if you consider the result is inaccurate or wrong.

Hmm. Actually there are just comparatively few pages that are locked to administrators only. The rest are open to all members, so there are an awful lot of threads that are probably of very poor quality. Newraptor has been especially bad in this regard. Adding lots of spite threads that he created himself on other sites, or ones that had different results than claimed, or just had two people agreeing with each other without any arguments, and so onwards. I eventually forbade him from adding any more threads, but he hasn't followed the order so far, and it seemed too harsh to block him for something like that. It is just that he has done so ridiculously much of this.
