Sandbox problem

I wanted to create a draft character page (to be precise, suggestions for changes to an existing one, but that's not the point). After reading the rules, found a link to the sandbox. However, it leads to a page that I cannot edit, there is no corresponding button. I don't understand something or is it a bug? (at first I accidentally wrote this in another thread)

When you click this link you should be taken to a blank page like this. And you click the "Create" button (the one I circled) to make the sandbox.

Thats the problem. There is no button there after i followed a link

Actually, it might be because you're a new user. Every new user needs to wait a certain amount of time (a couple of days, not sure exactly how many) before they can make edits, I think that might be it.

A week has passed. Still locked. May i ask about how long specifically do new users need to wait? Tried to find it on the wiki guidelines, but failed. Thanks in advance)

I don't really remember the exact time, but I think it was 10 days. You have wait until the "New Account" and "New Editor" tags on your profile go away.

Thanks again. After 12 days everything works, except user page, which is still locked for some reason. But this isn't that important.
