no it didn't, it got star level because the Ninjas survived an explosion created by these weapons, and that same weapon is capable to making a Star and they scale to a UES and thus their Creation feats would scale to AP.
Also, Lloyd was directly stated to hold the power of these weapons, further supporting their Star level ranking

I would imagine it's like shooting a nuclear bomb with an RPG. Yes, you 'destroyed' the nuclear bomb, but it was the bomb that caused the nuclear explosion.

Ye but in Ninjago's case, this is what happened:
1.Megaweapon was destroyed (lost its power)
2.Megaweapon and GWs merged (Megaweapon is useless bc it’s already destroyed)
3.Megaweapon becomes a Star (its last “creation” is star in a sense it became it)
4.Whatever is left from GWs later land on the comet
