If in a verse there is the theory of strings that are the basis of space-time, and there are characters that precede them, would they have zero-dimensionality? since the strings are 1D and they are not formed by them

If they precede the physical nature of a string in terms of transformation, I.e the particles become vibrational objects that can behave like strings then, sure.

However in quantum theory, you can also argue the preceding of a physical value is the abstract information it must’ve been derived from. So obviously like always the context matters.

Yeah you can precede strings in a nonlocal spacetime, because i think strings define local physical dimensions.

Local spacetime can be attributed to things like dimensional manifolds such as Einstein’s basic conception, things that use geometry of physical vectors. I’m just explaining to you it’s not necessarily 0-D in physics either (usually) in case we assume the argument will base itself in that.
