question about warhammer 40k

I have a doubt about the material plane of Warhammer 40k, because there are some scans where it mentions that there are universes and everything, but those who are against wh40k mention that almost the entire story happens in the galaxy, I mean, everything happens in the galaxy ? (not counting the warp), or does this escalate beyond that? that warhammer also takes place in universes, multiverses and not just in a galaxy... I hope you understood me

The story of 40k occurs in a Galaxy but it's not like there is just nothing going on past that it's just not the focus of the story.

Warhammer explicitly exists in a multiverse with infinite universes.

The Nids probably ate everything else outside the galaxy tbh.
I mean sure, we don't really know what's past the Halo stars which mark the edge of the galaxy but it's unlikely they have been able to consume absolutely everything outside of our galaxy. Emps's power is likely drawing them to our galaxy at least.
