Halo doesn't kill Flood. It kills their food. Humans, Covenant, whatever. We're all equally edible. The only way to stop the Flood is to starve them to death. And that's exactly what Halo is designed to do: wipe the galaxy clean of all sentient life.

The Halo Installations are part of the Halo Array, a last-resort superweapon system designed by the Forerunners to contain The Flood by destroying all life in the galaxy with a nervous system and enough biomass to be a food source for them, and thus starve out the Flood.

Halo Legends Eps
Halo Legends Eps.1

7:28 - "destroying the flood and and every thinking creature in the galaxy"

7:56 - "the device would destroy the infection and its food supply
8:25 - 8:45 - the flood has been destroyed instantly.

So the HALO superweapons destroy not only sentient creatures but the infection itself.

The first paragraph is NLF. And the Halo rings don't really have an official AP rating, it doesn't destroy any planets or stars. It simply triggers the nervous system and destroys all biological life on a galactic scale. It's more so a hax weapon with interstellar to galactic range, individually and altogether respectively.

Yes, the Flood was destroyed by Halo because they are biological life, making the whole "destroying the food source is the only way to kill the Flood" false and NLF. And yeah, how is the a question really?

The current profiles are wrong. HALO superweapons destroy not just sentient life but also the Flood itself because the flood is the sentient biomass.

That's what it says is that it destroys all biological life on a galactic scale. Since the flood are biological too, of course it destroys the flood as well. Oh wait, your right, I suppose we should change the description in the powers and abilities section.
