Profiles should reflect whether the character has a soul or not

It has been argued that certain characters do not have souls by nature and therefore are immune to soul hax. Sentient objects, robots, programs, mand the like.

Generally speaking though, the rule as far as I know it has been that abilities and resistances to hax are explicitly mentioned in profiles.

Seeing as how there are characters who have soul hax resistance listed as one of their abilities, I propose that all other character profiles where the character in question does not have a 'soul' have 100% immunity to soul hax listed as it would be more consistant and that information can be a key determining factor in fights involving characters who rely on soul manipulation.

Hmm, this sounds like a good idea. But i'm not sure we can go over every profile and do this......we could make it so that every profile that's going be created say weather they have a soul or not

Like most other updates like this I see people posting about, I'd imagine the solution would be to use this for new profiles and just update older ones when they get brought up in battles or otherwise looked over.

The problem is that most verses define 'soul' very differently.

In some verses, everything has a soul. In others, only certain things have souls.

Idk. I asked about this in chat and peoplem generally agreed that definition of soul isn't subject to verse equalization. So I guess the verse in question gets to decide who has a soul or not.

Some months ago a user discussed if Soul Manipulation would work in "Atheist Verses", i.e, series were souls / afterlifes do not exist, and it left me wondering.

I guess this is a case by case analysis.

My apologies, but it would take too much work to go through every single profile within this wiki just to check for something as trivial as this.

If somebody creates a versus thread with, for example, a robot versus a demon, it will be easy to understand that any soul-based attacks do not work, even without spelling it out within the profile.

Same with Aizen and espeically Ant. I find it actually dumb and time consuming to go through every single page we have here JUST to find out if it has a soul or not.
