So eggman is at an AP disadvantage, but he has much more stamina than any of nugs' pokemon, so he could probably take a lot of damage before he's done for, considering he once fought for 3 years straight, no breaks, no nothing, and shrugs off having all of his ribs broken

Eggman can also use his google glass to learn about nugs' pokemon if need be, and his pokemon will also likely struggle to avoid eggman's attacks more than they usually do considering eggman is always using homing missiles. Basically, eggman has a lot of survivability as well as things that nugs' pokemon haven't seen before to my knowledge

Eggman's Stamina sure is a good asset for him, but both Not Cheese (aka the starting mon of Nugs) and Chesseeeeee could paralyze him which would not only cut his speed in half but also make it hard for him to act. Nido McQueen also has ways to handicap him such as poisoning him to slowly kill him or even freeze him to make him incapable of acting at all. All in all, Nugs has ways around Eggman having good stamina.

In the anime, yes numerous times before, in game you can't cause well, game limitations. But seeing as Nugs is a genius level trainer who bested Red, he should be more than able to guide his pokémons into countering attacks. And as stated before, they are capable of handily taking a few of em, Nugs also has access to a large quantity of healing items to make them all the more annoying to put down.

I don't quite see how his google glass would let him know the moves of creatures he has never met before in his life. Granted his intelligence is an asset but it will do little to assit him when Nuggies himself, while less generally smart, is a genius when it comes to battling, he knows how to command his pokémon to the peak of their ability and takes full advantage of status effect

They are standard equipment, and we've seen them with him before, and he also seemingly has access to a big gun in the sky which also blew up the white house. I think the stuff on his standard equipment section will be of use to him here

Also, his super laser p#ss seems to explode on contact, and have tons of destructive capacity & range so simply parrying them wouldn't work in that regard

it's important to note that Eggman's extraordinary genius isn't battle wise, but more so him being a highly accomplished inventor. While true that Eggman is generally smarter, Nugs should be about just as smart as him when it comes to actual combat related stuff as Nugs is actively always commanding his Pokémon in battle and he has outdone various order trainer just as talented as himself

By that logic, his intelligence wouldn't really give him an upperhand since they'd be equally matched. Also, even without explicit battle intelligence, we can still clearly tell that eggman is well-rounded when it comes to fighting considering he has at least 3 years of experience doing so, and his brainpower is also far beyond anything that nugs would possess, since he claims that even a single piece of his "braincell" can control an army of robots
