The use of escape velocity is invalid since the continent has not fall out into outer space but has fallen to the same place. Escape velocity is used when an object is able to escape the atmosphere.

Should find this speed instead.

Formula : u^2 = v^2-2gs
  • u is initial velocity
  • v is final velocity = 0 m/s Highest point, velocity stalling before falling
  • g is acceleration = -9.81 m/s^2 The acceleration at which the object is moving upwards, g is negative.
  • s is displacement = 82913.02 m
Velocity Calculator
u = 1275.4424535823 m/s

KE = 0.5 * 1.30590346e21 * 1275.4424535823^2 = 1.0621915e27 J - 254 Petatons (Multi-Continent level)
PE = 1.30590346e21 * 82913.02 * 9.81 = 1.0621915e27 J - 254 Petatons (Multi-Continent level)

According to physics law KE = PE, so back to PE one.

253 petatons? Ouch.

If this is accepted, Psykorochi and co go back to upscaling from Orochi's 5 exatons.

Do you realize that escape velocity is used specifically because of the reason you wrote? Since that speed and anything above would make the continental cut fly away, it was used as a maximum. For instance, if escape velocity is 11 km/s, then the used speed is something like 10.9 km/s

I don't see how that would support the use of escape velocity or a slightly lower value, it just confirms that using the escape velocity is incorrect.

Because what happened is clearly much faster than escape velocity. Meanwhile, with the value op used it would take a whole minute for just crust raising to that height

The continent takes about 130 seconds to reach the top. If using 1274.7922152257 m/s. Yes, it's too long, but it's a computable lowball. The use of escape speed is definitely not correct. Since it's manga, there isn't a clear time frame anyway. We just use this as safe as possible. At this speed, it was only able to reach the height.

I have multiple problems with that argument but anyway. Saitama being really into High 6-A instead of upscaling from baseline 5-C feels much better. So have you way

The PE formula must use this formula because the height of 82913.02 m will change the acceleration values.

Ep = |(G*M*m)/r1 - (G*M*m)/r2|

Ep = |(G*M*m)/r1 - (G*M*m)/r2|
Ep = |(6.674*10^-11*5.972*10^24*1.30590346e21)/(6371000 +82913.02)- (6.674*10^-11*5.972*10^24*1.30590346e21)/6371000|
Ep = 1.05151e27 J - 251 Petatons (Multi-Continent level)

1% difference. Should I use this recipe instead?

Do you agree with the CRT or no?
Well I was the one who originally helped make the 254 petaton calculation and choose it over KE, so I obviously agree.

I didn't notice the upgrades until the profiles were updated, but at the time I thought they were just using a time frame to get a new speed and not the escape velocity.

Three calc members agreeing now. Can someone unlock profiles that need to change?
