Of Stomps and Wincons

A very simple topic but one I'd like to ask all of you out there.

What makes you consider a match a stomp? I mean, having no wincon is the obvious one, so I'm talking about what other factors stick out when you're trying to decide.

What makes you consider a wincon valid or reasonable?

Well, aside from the obvious lack of wincons, I think it can be the likelihood of those wincons happening in the first place

A character may have the capability to kill, KO, incap and/or BFR, but:

  • Is really uncommon for them to lead with said ability(ies) in character/is an IDIOT.
  • They are unallowed, restricted, limited or whataver by the specific requierement of said abilities and so can't use them continously or at least in a practical way.
  • The abilities are not as fast, and/or don't reach as far the enemie's.
  • The enemy has resistance to most if not all the abilities.
So I think could be scaled down to:

  • ┬┐Would he use it?
  • ┬┐And if he uses, can he use it?
  • ┬┐And if he can use it, will be able to reach the enemy?
  • ┬┐And if it reach enemy, will be capable to do any actual and meaningful damage?
I probably miss something between the lines.

Quickdraws generally aren't stomps in my view. Character B can win, but usually won't because his move is slower.

A stomp for me is when any of these occur, sometimes at once:

  • The AP difference is larger than 7.5x and Character B can't account for that difference with hax abilities. (Goku vs any baseline Low 2-C with no or minor hax)
  • Character A has a hax ability that immediately ends the match, usually passively, and Character B does not resist or have an equally powerful hax to incon. (Reiatsu Crush GG)
  • Character A, in character, begins with an ability that instantly ends the match and Character B, in character, does not use any ability that would incon or prevent this. (Usually fixed via bloodlusting. Sometimes.)
  • Character A resists or counters all of Character B's hax and cannot be beaten by Character B's AP for some reason, either via durability or hax. (BB vs Meltlilith is this)
  • Character A is faster than Character B by a difference of 7.5x or more (Goku vs Shulk with speed unequaled)
