The comic book Dexter seems to have a lot of overpowered abilities and appears to be more brutal, but is he actually more skilled? I'm not sure if he's performed more impressive feats of skill than the TV show Dexter, though it seems that way

He's a lot more agile and unpredictable in combat, but LA Dexter is stronger and has the advantage of actually being trained in 2 different martial arts so they both have their own advantages and disadvantages here

Well, I think Dexter LA could win this for being relatively better in combat and having a higher LS; however, that doesn't mean he will win most of the time, as there will likely be some difficulty. Dexter LA might be able to resist the effects of the demonic Dexter, such as his aura/fearhax, but he can't do anything against his precognition, clairvoyance, and extrasensory perception, which would likely make a stealth attack from Dexter LA useless, if not counterproductive.

I honestly think that Book Dexter wins, he has much better hax and also resistances to LA Dexter's M99. The LS difference isn't too big for the favor of LA Dexter in my opinion, and so is his skill since he is described as being able to disarm armed people. Something that also wasn't mentioned is his more impressive durability (Being able to survive large explosions and shrugging off falls from more than a story high.), and his Peak Human stamina that grants him the ability to last longer in the fight than would LA Dexter.

Fair 'nough

Counted

Although to be fair Book Dexter would still be affected by M99 it just wouldn't keep him down for very long. Also LA Dexter is bloodlusted which means he would probably use ooc tactics like pressure points which could be a potential problem if the blows land

To be fair, TV Show Dexter also has feats of surviving explosions and he has much higher AP.

For how long are we talking about?

Actually he jumped out of the boat just before it explodes and there is no burn on his clothes or on his skin which also suggest that he jumped.

It's still impressive even if he jumped and since you asked, I would like King_Dom to provide context for Book Dexter's explosion feats as well.

A few minutes give or take

The explosion feats he wasn't like right right on top of them or anything and he did get notably injured

Explosion 1: He was outside of the house while a propane explosion destroyed a large portion of the building he was hurt but not enough that he was put out of commission he was able to walk around fairly normally afterwards.

Explosion 2: He was actually a lot closer and the bomb was also the cause of Brians death it also destroyed the yachts cabin. Although this explosion did damage Dexter considerably it weakened him and damaged his hearing.

Well LA dexter mostly uses a stealth attack but Book dexter could sense him and likely react to him, like that high school jock in season 6. Though im not sure how he will deal with his LA dexter's pressure point attacks.

that second explosion is pretty impressive, could the bomb that killed brian count as wall level?

Pressure points would probably be a problem.

However stealth for both sides is probably a no go as they both have ways to counter that.

To be honest it probably would be yeah, however the fact that Brian died from it and Dexter was heavily injured made me think his scaling to it was probably dubious hence why I just put a “possibly far higher”

Here’s an excerpt from that scene for context:
“"One, two," Brian said. He threw the brick, hard, down into the hall. He turned his head toward me, almost certainly to say, "Three." And he might have said it. But if so, it was drowned out by the enormous roar of an explosion, a huge bright ball of noise and smoke and flame and debris that lifted Brian up and flung him right at me, and I went over backward and into a dark red-tinted place where there was no light and no sound except a terrible painful too-loud ringing noise that wouldn't stop.”
