Okay, this isn't a music recommendation thread. Recommendations are fine, but this is for any and all discussions surrounding music.

Canon in D River Flows In You Mashup Orchestral - Eternity Roze (Originally Pachelbel and Yiruma)
Canon Rock - Cole Rolland (Originally JerryC who made a rock version of Pachelbel)
River Flows In You Electric Guitar - Kfir Ochaion (Originally Yiruma)
If you enjoy Pachelbel's work, I'd recommend Musicalische Ergötzung. Baroque is my favorite era of Western classical music (that I wish I was able to play more, as an orchestral bassist), and I feel any one of the six suites from that collection well represent the sound of the time and place.

Fair enough
The only work I know from Pachelbel is Canon in D 😅 😂
But I do know a few other famous pianists/composers aside from him and Yiruma like Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Handel, etc (though I never went that indepth in the history or the study of music, just bits and pieces)
I could also recommend Ludovico Einaudi, though if you enjoy piano music a lot (which you likely do due to your background) you may have already heard of him and his music, it's amazing.

I can't even blame you. His Canon in D is so vastly popular that it's become "one of those classical songs" nearly anyone would recognize, out of the sheer ubiquity of its usage. I didn't start playing "classical" music until I was 12, and I didn't start listening to it regularly for another half decade, but I feel there are many pieces from the Baroque to Romantic periods that are deeply ingrained into my mind because I was exposed to them at an incredibly young age through sheer cultural diffusion. However, I am American, and thus I was raised in a largely "Western-centric" culture, all things considered, so I wonder if those from other parts of the world have similar associations with different bodies of music.

Handel's one of my favorite composers; he's definitely within the niche of German, Baroque-period composers I've found myself taken a liking to.

I could also recommend Ludovico Einaudi, though if you enjoy piano music a lot (which you likely do due to your background) you may have already heard of him and his music, it's amazing.
I'll give his work a listen. A quick search tells me he's a "contemporary classical composer," which is a nebulous term, but that gives me more motivation to hear his music myself to get an understanding of what it entails.
