Even though it seems I hate the manga, I really don't. It just seems stuff gets added because the anime version has it.

Case in point: Manga Jiren's Time Manip Resistance, which was just Jiren speeding up to overcome the Time Lag.

I don't think Goku was ever hit with time lag, but I'll add the ability back if I'm wrong.

No, my point is, Goku just sped up to get over Hit's Time Skip in the anime. So if Jiren only sped to get over Time Lag, he should have the resistance as much as Goku.

Time Skip being time stop < cannot be overcome by speed alone

Time Lag being time slow < can be overcome by speed alone

Then Goku shouldn't have resistance. Both are as equally deserving of the resistance.

Sounds more like Speed Augmentation to counter Time Reduction, not resistence to Time Manipulation.

Regardless, time slow can be overcomed with only increasing your speed, time stop cannot. That's why Goku has resistance and Jiren wouldn't.

All he did was starting moving faster. This is not resistance to time manipulation whatsoever.
