I took a look at samus profile and she seems to be superior in most categories, but afaik link can always stalemate the battle going back in time

Well, I think that Link will eventuallty be beaten down by Samus after several times rewinding time. That or Samus's Scan visor tells her what it is and she kills him before he has a chance.
