Lifting Strength:

Striking strength is more relevant in a fight, but having greater lifting strength means you can overpower someone with less, grappling them and keeping them from striking you. Somewhat related, but definitely distinct (A prolifter is stronger than a pro fighter, but the pro fighter nevertheless strikes harder).

Buuuut... A lifted object has potential energy as a result of you lifting it and gravity fighting back against you. Ofc, this depends on 3 things:

Mass, Gravity (acceleration due to), and Height. The material matters too, since 5000 kg of feathers won't hit as hard as a 5000 kg boulder.

Class 5 is where you see things like lifting cars and uprooting trees. Those feats are usually around Wall level.

It's possible to have Class 5 lifting power and still rank at a much higher AP tier, but that's only if you have far better AP feats under your belt than whatever puts you at Class 5.
