Lain Iwakura upgrade

I think Lain being at unknown is kind of weird because I think there is enough evidence she should be universal at bare minimum, arguably 1-C.
First of all, Lain did reset the timeline, it wasn't just erasing memories. The ability is explicitly called ALL RESET

It's stated Lain reset "everything"

And to prove this wasn't just erasing certain information, this power has a completely different name. When she erases memories, it's called "Delete", and this power was something she could do from birth. It is NOT the same as ALL RESET, which she could only do at the end when she broke the border between the wired and the real world

It's also stated that, when she used reset, she could start from the beginning again.

So therefore, this reset was clearly talking about the timeline, not simply deleting information, which is a completely separate power she has. Manipulating a timeline on such a scale would obviously be 4D, but I honestly think you could get this much higher due to "memories"

In Lain, memories are stated to be of a "higher phase" than the universe/timeline, meaning they should be 5D

Further proof is that, in Lain, memories are tied to the collective unconscious, which is equivalent to kabbalah.

These memories are also not simply tied to one being, but they are a fundamental aspect of reality that isn't tied to just one point in history

However, by the end, Lain is not bound by memories as she erased herself from them entirely.

Not only does this give Lain immunity to conceptual erasure, but I'd also argue that it makes her transcendental over memories, making her 6D. In this world where she is erased, it is stated she doesn't exist anywhere, being outside of the scope of memories.

Lain is also shown looking over all memories from the past present and future

Further supported by Lain also viewing memories as a record she can rewrite at any time.

Now Lain existing in this world that is stated to be nowhere isn't her highest transcendence feat. She has one more in which she goes to a world of light, where a projection of her father is. The anime gives no context about this world, but "An Omnipresence in Wired" does. It implied that everything that happened in all the other worlds is nothing but her imagination, and part of her memory. We know memories are of a higher phase, but since she is explicitly out of the scope of memories, this would not only give her R>F, but it would mean her memories are of a higher phase than the collective unconscious, and the world that was nowhere, making her 7D.

She truly wished for this pain to last forever. She did because she was made of flesh and blood, and because what she had learned by suffering, as if it were being filed, stayed in her as a memory.

Now, I have heard people trying to get Lain even higher by using the argument that the wired is an upper layer of the real world, however this is NOT true, and explicitly stated to be false by Lain herself, who at this point in time, is the most reliable narrator as she is practically omniscient.

In conclusion, due to memories being explicitly stated to be of a higher phase and Lain having her own memories that should be even higher than these, I see 6D or 7D to be reasonable.

Most of the images would just give her skills (skills that are already in her profile) and on the top layer I can see 4-D, but no 5-D or something above

For anything SEL-related, I would recommend using material from this summary I made for the series. In addition to high-quality scans of various anime scenes, it also contains Japanese-exclusive interviews with the creators and story summaries that clarify their intentions and the series' lore. I made it to help work on future explanations for Digimon, but I think it's solid enough to help with SEL revisions since a lot of what I looked into was very recent material (Especially the series' composer episode commentary blog).
