L vs Walter White
L must consider his victory for him to win
Both are in character
Events take place during season 3 of Breaking Bad
L has assess to FBI resources

L takes this and pretty easily, Walt has made too many mistakes for L to not figure it out.

A large part of why Walter went so long without getting caught is because Hank straight up ignored a lot of the signs pointing to Walter such as the gas mask found at the site of a cook & Walter suddenly having the money to pay for his & Hanks treatment despite barely being above the poverty line. Now it can be argued that Hank simply didn't want to accuse one of his family members of being a meth kingpin, but L, not being related to Walter, wouldn't be slowed down by this

Now 1 thing that might be Walters saving grace is L's ego. He pourposfully revieled himself to Light that way he could challenge Light & prove that he was smarter than him in Light & L's "Battle Of Pride." But if he does this with Walter and says "Heisenberg, I'm coming after you", Walter and/or Gus is just going to kill him. Finding out that some super intelligent FBI agent is hot on your ass is pretty much a 1 way trip to Mike just assassinating L from 7 blocks away with a sniper rifle. They don't even need his name or anything to kill him, just have Mike stalk him & kill him when nobody else is around.

So pretty much, if L doesn't show himself & doesn't have a "Battle Of Pride" with Walter, L can catch him pretty quickly. Freaking Skyler could figure out Walt was making drugs by the time Season 3 rolls around. However, the second Walter knows that a super intelligent detective is on his tail, he's just going to have Mike kill him. Or he'll just kill L himself with a pipe bomb or something if he really has too.

Worst case scenario, Gus kills Walter due to him being a lead to Gus' drug empire, thus technically being an incon as Walter will get killed before L can catch him, and Gus probably kills L too just to make sure the super detective doesn't find out about his drug empire.
