Yeah, but Basil doesn’t really tend to use his Garden Shears (he only uses them once in his boss fight, and that was when he was really mentally unstable).

Plus, Skid’s profile says he’ll try and sneak up on Basil before attacking. The battle conditions make it harder for Skid to do that, but also makes it easier for Skid to run at Basil and hit him right in the heart eye.

Garden Shears varry in size, but they tend to be a fair bit larger in size, giving Basil the range advantage. Plus, being a bigger and taller 16 year old will give them the reach advantage over an 8 year old. Stealth is out the window as 2 meters away isn't going to give Skid a chance to sneak attack.

SI might be Skid's best bet, but unles Skid does open with that, then that's likely out the window

Neither have weapon mastery, so both will just be kind of swinging hoping to hit somethig vital. But due to Basil having a longer reach, being stronger, and possibly being able to knock out Skid with a single hit makes me lean towards Basil

Yeah Basil's natural strength as a teenager compared to a child kinda makes the fight lean in his favor (especially given how violent he can become when pushed to the edge which would also kinda make SI null in my opinion even if Skid was for using it)
