issues with angsizing and manwha panel

certain manwha panels tend to have very absurd panel height, like this very first panel, using the angsizing formula, the distance we get is around 22171.9978047 meters, which seems totally absurd ! the curvature of the earth should even make the ship invisible from this distance wouldnt they?

so how do we angsize with this type of panels? can i take the horizontal distance instead of the one that was exagerated ?

I have previously answered this in Kulf's angsizing revision thread. The thing about comic panels and drawings in general is they tend to vary on even the most fundamental level to a point where we're best off just sticking with what we got.

Angular sizing is a last resort thing anyway and shouldn't be considered one-size-fits-all. In this case, yes, you would be correct in assuming that the ships would disappear due to the curvature of the Earth at that point. The furthest out a six-foot-tall person could see would be about 3 miles (5 kilometers; they rounded up). Even then, at 20 km in ideal conditions, you wouldn't be able to see the mountains.

I suppose the proper question is how did you get the distance figured listed in the OP?

by what 'we got' you mean, nothing, or ignoring the possible inconsistency by angsizing anyway? or we use the horizontal panel width instead.

using this : "Distance from point of view to object = object size * panel height in pixels/[object height in pixels*2*tan(70deg/2)]"
panel height top to bottom, object size was already calculated to around 2 meters, object height in pixel is the furthest away i could pix scale the projectile.
(are you also asking for the pix measurements?)

I mean the literal angsizing methods/formulae listed in the wiki. Also, how the heck is literally pointing out the flaws and explaining how angsizing is a last resort thing considering "ignoring" anything? If anything, that tells me you didn't take the time to read anything I wrote.

I mean the entire process. Giving out a figure doesn't exactly work unless you show your work. You know, show the math as to how you got that distance figure.
