While in the Dreamscape, one's body is like a phantom, existing in a state that is both real and unreal. Death here is not an end, but a shifting of the dream, like stepping through a series of doorways until the ultimate goal is reached. However, just as a traveler might get lost in a labyrinth, frequent "deaths" can trap an individual in a looping dream, with the risk of their consciousness fading away in the waking world.
Beyond the Dreamscape lies The In Between, a conceptual Wall that stands between our world and the vast, mysterious Sea of Darkness. Unlike the ethereal Dreamscape, The In Between is a formidable boundary, one that physical bodies can encounter and pass through. Yet, within this Wall, time, form, and logic dissolve like mist, leaving only pure abstractions of Platonic concepts. It serves as the last line of separation, connected to all the parallel realities of our world, like the interlocking bricks of an immense structure that holds back the tide of the unknown.
And further still, beyond this Wall, lies the Sea of Darkness—a boundless ocean that dwarfs even the grandest realms. If The In Between is a Wall, the Sea of Darkness is the limitless, unfathomable abyss it contains. It is said to be so immense that if billions of trillions of Earths were cast into it, they would amount to nothing more than a single grain of sand on its endless shores. This sea represents the ultimate frontier, where the known dissolves into the unknown, an abyss so vast that it challenges the very notion of existence itself, like the infinite night sky swallowing the last light of day.
