Is this transmutation or soul hax ?

What verse is this for? And basically the soul of a human female is transformed into a spider demon? That would be transmutation, possibly even corruption. But was the soul extrated from the body before it got transmuted or something by the same entity that transformed it?

The verse is DMC (not the reboot one), human souls goes to the demon world, where they are going to be managed there, but there is a diference.
When human is killed by a demon, they become a demon, when they die by natural reasons/by another human, their soul goes to the demon world.
So in this case, the soul wandered around till it got into the crust of the demon world and become a monster.
But the case of someone being alive and turning into a monster can happen.

I know is listed as soul manip, but i want to understand why.
According go the transmutation page, turning a being into another being counts as transmutation.
If you consider Soul as state of being then it should be transmutation.

Transmutation requires physical mass, unless souls have mass you cannot say that it is conventional transmutation. Anything that involves manipulation of soul is soul manip.
