Seems to just be figurative speech not to be taken literal and even if it was idk how you could light the sky on fire.

Yeah lit can be taken as their fights caused immense flashes of light that lit the sky up, or their fight involved massive blasts of fire. Both can be calced just unsure how valid it'd be given the fact we don't know how much of the sky was lit up.
