Unironically a decently even match, in my opinion lol

Popple (Mario Bros) vs Tamatoa (Moana)


  • Popple sneaks into Tamatoa’s lair, knowing that some monster kept a treasure. Leading to him unknowingly awakening this huge crustacean (Which honestly reminded him of Rookie/Bowser) Will the Shadow Thief prevail in stealing all the valuables of this decapod or will he end up like seafood?

Rules:
-Both are 6-C
-Speed is equalized
-Both have access to all equipment
-Neither have any prior knowledge, Popple just knows he’s stealing treasure from a dangerous monster.
-Battle takes place in Tamatoa’s lair

I think I got popple he should just be able to get on Tamatoes back or throw bobombs and poison mushrooms at his underbelly
 
Given that Popple

Can heal mid battle
Poison
Move underground to dodge attacks



He has moves that may give Tamatoa a hard time and it's unlikely that Tamatoa would land hits if Popple could just go underground though, Tamatoa might have stellar lifting strength so if he does get his claws on Popple he could just chuck him and maybe that will do the trick, however. I see popple taking this more often than not, mostly due to his abilities, underground mobility, on top off Tamatoa likely being easy to piss off since Popple's shtick is to steal goodies and be rich beyond belief. Voting Popple.
