Speed is unequalized.
Both are in-character, and start 50 meters away.
The battle takes place at the Barrier.
Gru has all of his equipment.

Gru has at most a 2.85x advantage in Attack Potency.
Gru has at most a 4.32x advantage in Speed.
Asgore has at least a 14,558.07x advantage in Lifting Strength.

Would like to hear other people’s arguments before making any conclusions but if Gru is outspeeding and dealing more damage by a very significant amount, the odds aren’t looking very good for Asgore. His LS would help him physically rip gru apart as well as unarm him but considering how fast gru is by comparison, this is unlikely though worth noting. Danmaku could be helpful especially with fire considering how hot monster flames are but Gru is accustomed to dodging numerous projectiles at once like heat seaking missiles as described on his profile. Right now I’m heavily leaning towards Gru but I’d like to what others have to say.

Gru likes to use Freeze Ray a lot, so unless Asgore's resistance allows him to break free, that will likely be the end of him

Gru's profile doesn't specify the exact temp of the Freeze Ray but if the scan in this vid is true, then -100 degrees is its coldest temp (and we're not allowed to use anything that's not in the profile picture anyway sooo). Meanwhile, Hotland is hot enough to vaporize styrofoam, which uhh, doesn't have an exact vaporization point, but its melting point is 240°C. The snow in Snowdin is so cold that they're unfazed by that heat, so it's more than likely that Asgore can break free from the Freeze Ray ig

Styrofoam has a boiling point of 430°C: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polystyrene

Plastics generally vaporize at 560°C if I got it correctly from there.

Regardless, some stuff to clear up:
  • Asgore does not use LS in combat, so bringing it up is pretty meh. Only thing that could count is him using his trident, as Gru there could not push it back unless he karate-chops it or something.
  • Gru has not any resistance to neither heat (and Asgore's fire is almost 5000°C) nor SOUL stuff, meaning that not accounting by being vaporized by the sheer heat alone, Gru's SOUL would still have 20 HP, meaning that Asgore at most would still need at most 20 hits, in the worst scenario of each of his hits making just 1 damage. But that, as said, does not take in account the fire, flamethrowers aren't really with AP for example, yet their flame still greatly damages us, so I do not see why some magic SOUL-targetting fire that burns with Sun-surface degrees of temperature isn't instantly vaporizing Gru ngl.
  • Asgore is still the same mf who dodged effortlessly any of Undyne's moves while he was training her. While surely that Undyne was still not a formed warrior yet, it's still an indicator of him being able to no-diff Early to Mid Game levels of UT Danmaku, something that Gru's arsenal doesn't seem to have better feats.
  • Asgore is still the same mf who killed SAVE and LOADing spam humans over and over until they gave up. Gru has no experience dealing with Danmaku on Asgore's level either.
AKA, unless I see better arguments, Gru:
  • Is completely overwhelmed with Danmaku made of 5000°C hot fireballs that totally surrounds him, which even target the SOUL.
  • Gets skill stomped terribly.
  • Cannot hit Asgore, and if he does, he'd do it barely given the skill difference.
