Hydra (D&D) vs Rex (ARK: Survival Evolved) [0-0-0]

This a Mordant Hydra and an Alpha Rex being used, speed equalized, the fight takes place on the Island from ARK and they start just outside of melee range of each other.

Edit: Mordant was buffed, resetting votes.

Edit 2: We're switching to the 9-A+ Cryohydra to make this a bit more fair.

The Rex's regen appears to be too slow to be considered combat applicable, and Hydra would fairly easily resist attempts at fear manipulation. Rex has an advantage of LS but little else compared to the power of the Hydra's many-heads (the action economy of the Hydra being its primary strength). Acid spit isn't too big of a consideration given the starting range but even without it, one feels that the Hydra has a pretty compelling case against its single-headed enemy.

Mordant now has a pretty hefty AP advantage over the Rex compared to the before at High 8-C.

2.25 tons Vs 0.56 tons. That's a 4x AP difference right there.

If Mordant won before it wins even more now. I don't know whether I'd call this a stomp, the Rex can still by all rights win, but it's at a definitive and notable disadvantage.

I'm still voting for the mordant hydra.

Would it be more fair if I used the High 8-C base Hydra instead?

Mostly just removes the acid, and I think they'd win without that pretty handily- would reset votes again and I think it comes to the same outcome. Your call though.

It still doesn't get rid of the massive AP advantage that seems stomp worthy in my opinion. Maybe we can use their 9-A keys instead?

4x AP isn't a stomp on its own, though the fact that the Hydra was already comfortably ahead of the Rex without the upgrade makes it a definite argument that with it, it's a bit unfair (I wouldn't call it a stomp, though- the Rex can win).

Could go 9-A if SOC prefers, would be a more even match at least.

What reasoning? I changed which Hydra it was because the previous version was a stomp.
