I am trying to find the energy to hold 3 Earth size planets together in a form of balance on a 2D plane.

I got all this information from finding the
  • Triangle sides = 6.278e+8 in / 2 = 313900000 in radius of a side
  • Triangle height = 543690748 in / 2 = 271845374 in radius of height
  • Mass 1 = (0, 0)
  • Mass 2 = (6.278e+8, 0)
  • Mass 3 = (313900000, 543690748)
  • Center of mass: (313900000 in, 181230249.334 in) = 3.62e+8 in = 9194800 m
  • Regular hypotenuse (Radius from center of triangle) = 4.15e+8 in = 10541000 m
  • Earth Planets mass = 5.972e+24 kg * 3 = 1.792e+25 kg (total mass)

From my quick search here, it looks like when it comes to center of mass calcs, Potential Energy is used:
  • Low End (CoM) = 9194800 m * 1 g * 1.792e+25 kg = 1.6158497227264e+33 Joules (Planet Level)
  • High End (RH) = 10541000 m * 1 g * 1.792e+25 kg = 1.852424405888e+33 Joules (Planet Level)
Thoughts?
