How should I go about this?

Scenario: Let's say that a character was stated to be able to destroy an island (This is the island in question). And numerous of the most knowledgeable and powerful characters not only acknowledged said strength but even considered that character a threat because of said power. Would that be able to classify said character at 6-C? If not, would I need to get it calced to see how powerful that would be?

If there are any questions or clarifications needed, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

For a character to be ranked as tier 6-C, island level, the character must be capable of swiftly producing the energy of at least 4.3 gigatons of TNT. It's definitely possible to destroy an island over time. A character that can produce one kiloton of TNT with one hit can be considered as impressive, even though they wouldn't be able to produce baseline tier 6-C total energy without punching four million, three hundred thousand separate times. Perhaps the character would have an extra ability or a few to make the process for destroying the island more convenient, so the character can be deemed as a threat by the numerous most knowledgeable and powerful characters in the story. However, it'd be an assumption to consider the character as having abilities that they never demonstrated, and this interpretation may take the original information out of context, so only take this advice with caution.

The context is important when judging a statement. If the most knowledgeable and powerful characters in the story are a lot stronger than island level and consider the character in question as a threat to the island, but only because of a social significance that the island has, then perhaps the character that's considered as a threat to the island is a lot stronger than it too. If the character was on the island without opposition but didn't destroy it despite wanting to, then perhaps the character could only do so over time, or maybe they could only do so using a certain attack or after increasing in power somehow. Perhaps it was somehow implied by the grand characters that the character who is a threat to the island could destroy it using only one attack. I'm not familiar with the fiction that the image of the island is from, so I can't help you very much with figuring out these specific details.

The character in question is Hans Reiheit. He's a character from the series called Shaman King. Unfortunately, the island specifically doesn't have a name. It's just called an "uninhabited island 23 nautical miles south-southeast of the city of Tokyo."

As for why it wasn't destroyed, he didn't target the island, he targeted another person named Hao Asakura(The most powerful character in the verse at the time) and Hao killed him before he made his attack since Hao was much more powerful.

Now the character Luchist(who is extremely powerful and knowledgeable as he's the right-hand man to Hao) and Marco(not as powerful as Luchist but still very powerful as well) wasn't worried about the fleet overall, but the moment they find out that Hans was one of the individuals in said fleet, not only is Marco shocked, but they even acknowledged how strong he was and agreed to work together to stop the fleet. It wasn't until later that Hans makes his appearance and we find out why Luchist and Marco feared his strength as Hans makes the statement to another person that's part of the fleet that he could destroy the entire island.

I will also say this there's another feat here where he almost destroys an island. It was in a sequel after the previous story. Here's the feat.

Thanks for the elaboration. The "blow up the whole island in one second" part heavily implies that the action would be quick sheer destruction. I would tell you that island level is a good estimate, but even the Attack Potency page on the VS Battles Wiki states that the names of a lot of the levels like this one are arbitrary. I recommend that you ask someone good at calculations to analyze the image of the island to discover its size. After that, I think it would be reasonable to simply scale the character's power to what it would take to make the island explode. I'm not closely affiliated with calculations on the VS Battles Wiki, so it would be wise to also ask a calculation group member or a staff member who would know better than me if my recommendation is accurate.
