How fast is this?

In a fan novel, it is as follows.

"But he was too late. Just as he had reached the bomb, the timer went off. Only a meter away from the bomb, he turned and ran as the most powerful bomb known to a man went off. He ran past the people he wished he could save as they burnt in the flame, the only one he could save was himself and he ran faster than he ever could. The explosion started to catch up to him as he ran, and it stopped just as it was a breath's hair away from his back. But it didn't stop there, he used every ounce of his strength to force his legs to move out of the range of the radiation that is spread by the bomb. Just as his legs gave out, he was in the safe zone.

The bomb was being referred to the Tsar Bomba, he started running just as the explosion went off and was able to outrun the explosion before it could hit him, even outrunning the range the radiation was going to spread.

So how fast is this?

No idea tbh, the shockwave from the nuclear bomb should be faster than the one by a TNT. IRL the shockwave's speed will be dropping over time, but I don't see it in this situation. I think that the average shockwave speeds for TNT are placed between Supersonic and Hypersonic.

Probably Hypersonic, I'm no expert in explosives though.
