I've seen tournaments here and there in the Versus Thread forum. How do they work and how can I possibly set one up?

How do tournaments work on the forums?

I don't think there's a real "official way", you can create a Fun and Games thread setting up your tournament and to gather all contestants (you can take ideas from users), then you can create a bracket and make individual matches on the Versus Threads forums to advance the tournament until you get a winner.
